Position summary:



DAL Mining has several ongoing contracts such as catering, Drilling, Exploration & so on. The position is aimed to help on creating, examine, and monitor contractual agreements between company and suppliers. Generally expected to serve as tough negotiators who work to reach the best potential deal for the company. Soliciting bids to acquire a variety of required goods and services is a major part of this job, also to oversee contractors' performances to ensure that the provisions of the contract are met.







Main Duties & Responsibilities:




Manage contract planning, negotiation, awarding, administration and close‐out for all assigned
projects Serves as a team member coordinating a wide variety of contractors, each having unique functions relating to assigned projects.
Assists personnel to identify items and services for contracting, components, equipment, and services to be acquired by contract.
Prepares and maintains current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts, and related schedules and procurement files.
Prepares all necessary contract documents, assuring the inclusion of provisions required by law, regulation and policy, and drafts original special clauses as needed.
Develops and maintains systems to evaluate and monitor contractual performance related to delivery, cost, and amounts of progress or advance payments.
Provide contract support to all DM department through drafting various types of agreements as required.
Work through a diverse scope of issues where analysis of the information may require identification and evaluation of many relevant potential factors.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively explain licensing and other legal and contracting principles to internal clients and external customers.
Ability to proficiently draft and capture agreements & contract document.
Anticipate contracting issues and initiate appropriate actions to ensure contractual documents are processed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a changing business environment.
Exercise reasonable judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining contracting solutions.
Conduct legal research on legal issues or other research topics as required.
Participate on special project teams or the creation of tools to enable process improvements as needed.
Compliance with updating and maintaining various internal reporting systems.
Ability to manage or participate in moderately complex projects involving multiple stakeholders through to completion in a timely, efficient and collaborative fashion.
Track the end dates and renewal dates for all client contracts, Initiating renewal / extension steps along with the assigned sales team member.
Align with DAL Group centralization systems and policies and coordinate with sister companies to legalize and improve a contract management system.




Minimum Qualification & Experience:



Qualification
A university degree
Formal qualification in managing a high value contracts in a reputable company.
Experience

3‐4 Years’ experience in Procurement
Experience in Mining & Drilling Industry or similar industry






Required Skills & Knowledge:



Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Arabic and
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to resolve both Contractor and Stakeholder complaints and concerns.
Knowledge of contract documents and specifications.
Ability to analyze and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Organizing and coordinating skills
Skill in the Negotiation and contractual techniques.
Knowledge of contractor compliance issues and procedures, as applicable to a public institution.
Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality.
