Department/Section: Marketing Segments
Job Title: Pricing Manager
Reports to: CCO

Job Purpose:
To develop/manage all voice products (prepaid & post-paid) and design products and services that drive end of year target. This job responsibility lies under monitoring/enhancing gross additions, returnees, active base, churn & airtime revenue. It also involves maintaining a healthy balance between exiting products and new upcoming ones and driving big customer/revenue market share.

Key Task/Accountabilities:

Plan & execute customer acquisitions/retention related bundles, packages and promos to achieve budgeted customer base number, gross additions, returnees, churn and airtime usage & revenue.
Prepare value proposition for all packages and promos in line with sales recommendations and market research.
Continuously monitor competitor activities and analyze market competitiveness of Zain packages and promos and report back recommendations to make the offers more attractive and compelling for the market.
As an ongoing basis identify, analyze and recommend initiatives that may result in customer acquisition/retention.
Plan scenarios of tariff reduction, new scratch cards, new validities, bundle offers and other acquisition/retention and revenue generation related activities.
Manage the distribution of budgeted numbers in terms of customers, usage, & revenue/package (prepaid & post-paid)
Train team on all above tasks
Report on monthly basis on all acquisition/retention related activities along with customer behaviour in terms of usage, churn, new sales etc. In other words maintain and update revenue reports that highlight budgeted and actual performance.
Maintain monthly SWOT and GAP analysis and proactively work and revisit priorities based on market feedback and research (i.e. using some tools like heat maps etc)
Drive and implement all strategic responsibility as highlighted in annual strategic plan.
Drive and work with cross-functional units and departments to ensure all technology enablers are planned and being worked upon in order to meet launch of planned activities.
Provide properly assessed awareness and communication requirements and then work with communication team, direct and indirect channels to ensure such requirements are met on time.
Responsible for all post-paid and prepaid segments and their acquisition/Retention related objectives.
Revenue analysis for existing/new packages and promotions
Design and construct prepaid and post-paid document process & procedures for implementation and ensure smooth operational flow

What Do You Need to Qualify



Relevant Professional Business/engineering Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility in product and service is required.
Strong understanding and awareness of competition
Experience in problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Applications
Highly motivated and takes initiative and pride at work


In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals and competitive environment
In-depth understanding of Zain information requirements
In-depth understanding of Zain direct/indirect competitors
Willingness to learn and adapt quick to the fast rhythm of industry development
