POSITION: Sr. QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER 

Reports to: QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Job Goal

Leads QA engineers, reviews their test plans and test cases. They will verify and
revise quality assurance standards as needed. They may make recommendations for
improvement of applications to software developers. They shall be able to
communicate test progress, test results and other relevant information to project
stakeholders. They will review documentations provided by business and technical
departments and provide feedback. They may introduce software testing tools to
optimize the work and testing.

Duties & Responsibilities

Involved in QA planning, monitoring and controlling the activities and resources.
Review Test scenarios, Test cases, Test reports or any deliverables from QA engineers.
Review Business Requirements, SRS, discuss and propose solutions to business or
other departments.
Able to identify impact and risks, suggest mitigation for the risks.
Execute test cases to detect software failures and report them to related parties for
resolution.
Ensure the application developed is compliant to software quality standards, best
practices, security and payment industry standards.
Ensure the application developed is compliant to software quality standards, best

Review product documentations, which include Software Installation and Configura-
tion documents, User Guide and Administrator Guide to verify and validate the documen-
tations to the end-product.
Maintaining Quality Assurance environment, ensuring the environment stability.
Continually improve the departmental processes and methodologies.
Continually improve Testing Strategy, Methodologies and Testing tools to improve
effectiveness and efficiency of work.
Support, mentor and follow-up with team members on all tasks assigned; Bugs,
Certification, Upgrades, Change Requests and Projects.
Seeks to improve knowledge on latest technology for payment industry; POS, ATM,
Kiosk, SMS, USSD etc.
Able to evaluate team members in performance evaluations and give constructive feedback.
Cooperates and coordinates activities with other departments.
Ensures team completes the development deliverables according to Plan, meeting
the scope, time and quality KPIs.
Communicate effectively to internal and external customers.
Find innovative ways to build quality in from beginning of SDLC in order to increase
quality and reduce time to market.
Any other related duties assigned by direct manager/supervisor.

Education
B.Sc. In Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Engineering related
fields.
Experience
