Job Summary:

• Leading the analysis, project identification, budget, communication, and integration.
 • Managing the project managers, provides developmental feedback to team members; coaches other Project Managers in managing teams.


Description:

Lead cross-functional, multi-site project teams composed of employees, contractors and external vendors in support of several concurrent projects and initiatives.
Assist in the scoping of projects and co-ordination of resource requirements and estimations.
Set up and maintain project plans for several projects and report status against project gates (financial, resources, deliverables, etc.) throughout the life of projects.
Measure, manage and report on project health according to the defined reporting standards, KPIs, governance structure and rules of engagement.
Creates and promotes a positive work environment where people are on-side, feel a collective sense of accountability, and are recognized for successful delivery each time and every time.
Committed to ensuring a high level of stakeholder satisfaction through prompt and efficient communication and proactive support.
Develop tools, templates and process to facilitate smooth project execution through adoption of project management, quality management and best practices.
Identify organization-wide challenges/issues and implement plans to improve our operations.
Lead, inspire and evolve the PMO team and develop project management expertise.
Collaborating with PMO leadership teams to define governance structure and rules of engagement with project teams, internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in capacity and resource forecasting and planning based on the data on current projects resource utilization and projects in the pipeline.
Manage the project portfolio (prioritize project, annual budget planning, develop Quarterly Integrated Plans in collaboration with key stakeholders). Owner and Accountable for weekly/monthly project portfolio reporting/ dashboards for the EPMO to both internal and external stakeholders. Timely project portfolio reporting involves consolidation of all project status reports from project managers with time, scope, quality, and other defined KPI’s.
Operate steering committees, the CEO update meeting and other governance meetings.
Working with the leadership team and program managers to ensure there is full visibility in the organization of our delivery schedules, risks & issues, scope, and status
Manage relationship with other groups on common projects.
Participate in the execution of the project roadmap: together with Product managers and planning team leaders, to plan timeline and resource allocation for projects in order to reach strategic and business objectives
Provide support/coaching to PMO team members and other project/program managers from different functions.
Ownership of CAPEX budgeting, execution, tracking and reporting.
Be responsible for maintaining the information security of MTN physical or information assets that they access, use, or manage as per the company policies
Support projects delivery throughout documentation, quality control and change management.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or any related field. 
• PMP certification an asset, SAFE/Agile experience preferred 
• Minimum 8 years of experience, 5 at least within project/program management space.
 • Large international organization preferable. 
• Experience with project management and progress tracking tools (MS Project, Smart Sheets, JIRA). 
• Understanding of financial principles including project control measures (Earned Value, Cost Performance indicators).
 • Proven experience at leading or helping grow a PMO department, including development and rolling out of standards, processes and tools. 
• Comprehensive knowledge of project/program management methodologies and tools, including Agile and Waterfall. 
• Proven experience at bringing strategy into plans into executable actions. • Process Improvement experience.
 • Quality control / assurance techniques and experience. 
• Change management and control experience. 
• Budget management. 
• Project/Program Risk and Issue management. 
• Experience in dealing with C-level leadership.
