Department/Section: Carriers Relations & Regulatory
Job Title: Interconnect &Carriers Relations Team Leader
Reports to: Wholesale Manager
Job Purpose:
The Interconnect &Carriers Relations Team leader is accountable to the Wholesale
Manager, for commercial and administrative support that contributes to the department’s objectives of being effective and efficient in end-to-end negotiations, management, and delivery of Zain’s Carriers Relations, Targets, this is included and not limited to building interconnections with carriers and operators, leasing capacities and building strong relationships with the national and the international telecommunications bodies.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities
Responsible for Managing Interconnect / leased line agreements and partnerships with the International Telecom businesses and administrating the required coordination with the concerned parties,
Oversee the evaluation of the new interconnect agreements for the new countries, new carriers,) that includes legal and regulatory aspects, contracts, and to be responsible for preparation, execution, and follow-up of capacity orders, invoice verification, etc.
Responsible for the efficiency of international call routing according to cost & Quality KPIs.
Responsible for accomplishing Carrier Relations Projects for interconnections and Capacity management & leased lines.
Responsible for managing business Relations with all partners.
Responsible for delivering regular Carriers Relations reports & Ad hoc required reports, and to be fully accountable for the quality, accuracy timeliness, and effectiveness of business reports
Participate in executing the department strategy, and road map and align it with the whole company business plan.
Assure the business performance, and KPIs are up to the strategy, road map, and business plan.
To liaise closely with internal customers/colleagues to ensure that carrier relations business is planned to minimize the risk of destabilization to the business.
Accountable for Interconnect Revenue targets are taken place.
To contribute to the effective management, motivation, and development of resources within the carrier relations team, to ensure problems/issues are identified and resolved or appropriately escalated at an early stage.
Understand contingency plans that are in place and regularly review/update them to mitigate risks/issues as the Zain customer base grows and the business expands.
Assure & Develop business excellency this includes and is not limited to processes, procedures, activities, and Automation and digitization operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements on Information Security.

Specialist role – 3 years of relevant professional experience
Accountable for effective team performance.
Accountable for Interconnect Revenue &Cost
Responsible for management of third-party suppliers/contractors
Responsible for Capacity management & leased line KPIs.

What Do You Need to Qualify

BSc. Of Engineering, computer science or BA, or relevant field
Minimum 3 years previous experience in relevant field.
Demonstrable market Telecommunication aP
nd commercial knowledge.
Excellent command of written and spoken English
MBA will be an advantage

Well understanding of wholesale business
Strong knowledge of Telecom services agreements, standards, services context, and settlement procedures between Operators and carriers based on the commercial trends
Preparation and execution section plans including budgeting
Establish and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders and other Teleco.
In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and ZAIN business strategy, goals, and competitive environment
High analytical skill
