Duties



The Market Research Specialist will research, compile, and analyze information on products and market conditions to identify potential new markets, sales opportunities, and the most effective methods of marketing specified products.
Main Responsibilities :

1/ Identifies and defines the objective of an assigned marketing research project; determine the best methods to use to meet those objectives.

2/ Drafts questionnaires, surveys, and other data collection resources.

3/ Researches and compiles data related to current product market, customer demographics and interest, and factors influencing product demand; analyze results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration of current products.

4/ Compiles data related to competitor’s products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology.

5/ Conduct competitive/industry/market trend research in assigned areas using appropriate specialized data sources.

6/ Provide technical assistance and recommendations on questionnaire design and data organization to ensure data quality and usefulness of research.

7/ To assist R&D Department with new product tasting and acquiring samples from the market.

8/ Summarizes and analyses data; makes recommendations related to research findings.

9/ Reports findings, complete with graphs illustrating data and written text explaining complex findings.

10/ Identifies potential new products or markets through research.

11/Delivers reports and presentations of findings to management and/or executive leadership.

12/ Take accountability and ownership of any other tasks or projects assigned.


Requirements



- Bachelor's Degree

- 2-3 of proven market research, or data analyst experience
Job-related Knowledge:

knowledge of market collection data methods

knowledge of marketing programs and strategies.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, and statistical packages.
Skills:

• Ability to interpret large amount of data.

• Strong analytical & critical thinking.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation skills.

• Team player.

• High level of computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, or similar software etc.).

• Statistical software skills like SPSS & CSPro.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to travel to regions within Sudan.
