Job Title: Logistics & Materials Management Senior ManagerDepartment: Procurement

Main Job Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to lead Sudatel’s logistics and materials management functions to
ensure efficient handling, storage, and transportation of telecom materials and equipment. This role is
instrumental in supporting procurement activities, optimizing inventory management, and overseeing
warehousing and transportation processes to align with Sudatel’s operational and strategic objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of
materials and equipment.
2. Coordinate with the procurement team to oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including
customs clearance, freight management, and transportation.
3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers to ensure compliance with
service level agreements (SLAs).
4. Optimize logistics processes to minimize delays and reduce costs while maintaining quality and
reliability.
5. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards for transportation and
import/export activities, and the updated custom regulations.
6. Manage the landed cost for all shipments and consignments, arrange to control the cost drivers
and to execute the dues and payments pertaining to the logistics activities.
7. Oversee the end-to-end materials management process, including planning, storage, and
distribution of materials.
8. Manage warehouse operations to ensure proper inventory storage, handling, and safety
compliance.
9. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and
minimize waste or obsolescence.
10.Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast material requirements and
manage replenishment schedules.
11. Implement systems and tools to track inventory levels, movement, and utilization effectively.
12. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure alignment of logistics and materials
management with procurement plans and timelines.
13. Support procurement activities by providing insights on transportation, warehousing, and
inventory requirements.
14. Address any logistical challenges that may arise during the procurement process and propose
solutions to minimize disruptions.
15. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within logistics services and materials
management functions.
16. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across teams.
17.Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs for team members.
18.Develop and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy,
logistics costs, and delivery timelines.
19. Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in logistics and
materials management processes.

1. Supply Chain and Inventory Management: Expertise in overseeing and optimizing the entire
supply chain, from procurement to delivery, ensuring smooth operations. Proficiency in managing
inventory levels to balance supply and demand while minimizing holding costs.
2. Warehousing and Transportation Management: Knowledge of best practices in warehouse
operations, including storage, handling, and distribution of materials, along with an understanding
of transportation logistics, route planning, carrier selection, and cost optimization.
3. Procurement and Vendor Management: Familiarity with procurement strategies, vendor
management, and contract negotiation to secure favorable terms, ensuring alignment with
logistics and operational needs.
4. ERP Systems and Logistics Technology: Competence in using Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) systems and logistics software to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance
decision-making processes.
5. Risk Management and Compliance: Ability to identify potential risks in the supply chain and
develop mitigation strategies. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance
requirements related to logistics and materials management.
6. Budgeting, Cost Control, and Financial Management: Skills in managing budgets, analyzing
costs, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize logistics and materials management
expenditures.
7. Data Analysis and Performance Optimization: Capability to analyze logistics data, identify
trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency, ensuring continuous
performance improvement.

Job Requirements

 (Education, Training or certificates, Experience, Language):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration,
Engineering, or a related field.
▪ Training or Certificates: Such as Chartered Institute for Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Certified
Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) | Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD).
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in a managerial role within logistics or supply chain
management.
Languages: Fluent in English/Arabic (Written& Spoken).
