JOB DESCRIPTION
(With the current situation in Sudan, the duty station will be confirmed in due course)
As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the logistic setup is according to NRC standards and to support program/project implementation.
Specific responsibilities
- Manage a supply chain of both national and international vendors capable of responding to a medium to large-scale emergency response
- Establish and manage a good network with the Government of Sudan especially the HAC, Customs, and relevant ministries to ensure timely clearance and delivery of humanitarian aid
- Establish Emergency response warehouse facilities capable of supporting a rapid response mechanism
- Deliver monthly logistics reports as required through established mechanisms
- Manage a logistics team capable of responding to medium to a large-scale emergency response
- Establish policies, and guidelines and adapt SoPs for the logistics department where necessary and ensure that all staff have a good understanding of logistics procedures
- Invest in coaching, training, and capacity building of logistics staff both in area offices and the Country Office
Generic professional competencies:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a senior Logistics Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Knowledge and skills in market assessments, analysis, and cash-based interventions
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profiles
- Valid driver’s license

- Well-versed and experienced in large-scale emergency response
- Resilient in active, low/ medium scale armed conflict
- Ability to withstand high levels of stress and criticism

- تسليم تقارير لوجستية شهرية كما هو مطلوب من خلال الآليات المعمول بها
- إدارة فريق لوجستي قادر على الاستجابة للطوارئ المتوسطة إلى واسعة النطاق
- وضع السياسات والمبادئ التوجيهية وتكييف SoPs لقسم اللوجستيات عند الضرورة والتأكد من أن جميع الموظفين لديهم فهم جيد للإجراءات اللوجستية
- الاستثمار في التدريب ، والتدريب ، وبناء قدرات الموظفين اللوجستيين في كل من المكاتب الإقليمية والمكتب القطري
الكفاءات المهنية العامة:
- خبرة لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في العمل كمدير أول للخدمات اللوجستية في سياق إنساني / تعافي
